Cursillo in Christianity
Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ. This short course in Christianity is designed to build up leaders within the church. Attendees travel for a weekend retreat, joining other Anglicans for singing, worship, listening, and discussion. After attending, monthly Ultreyas with the local Cursillo community takes place in member homes. Your sponsor will assist in placing you in a small weekly reunion (accountability) group to strengthen your faith.
Grandparents at Prayer (G@P)
G@P’s desire is to promote effectual Christian grandparenting that is intentional about strengthening the family as designed by God and leading our children and grandchildren to authentic, whole-hearted faith in Christ. G@P meets at 4:00-5:00 every 2nd Sunday of each month in the Sanctuary.
Kairos
An ecumenical prison ministry that shares the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men and women to become loving and productive members of their communities. Volunteers are needed for baking cookies, cooking meals, transportation, housing prayer and monetary offerings of support.
Shoe Fund
Sumter children cannot attend school without shoes. Some children are attending school in shoes that are too large, too small, or composed of duct tape and cardboard. Our area school nurses call Holy Comforter to notify us; this ministry then arranges for the child/children to visit a local store and be fitted for a pair of quality shoes.
